Around and About – Finding Locations

Arriving in Jecheon

Information about the shuttle buses that will take people between the Jecheon Bus terminal, the train station, the Festival location and the lake will be published soon.  When I know more I will update this site.  However, for now, for those wanting to find their own way I am going to leave detailed instructions right here for those arriving at the bus terminal.

The bus terminal is confusing, there are actually two right beside each other – an old one and a new one.  The old one services the express bus terminal in Kangnam Seoul, the new one – everywhere else.

When you arrive you you need this is what you will see:

Here you can see the new terminal in the distance.

The following instructions are only for those wanting to go to other areas of the regions or who want to walk to the Festival area.

Walk down this street:

Make your way to the end and you will come out at a huge intersection.  This is basically the main road of the city.  Turn directly right and you will see a bus stop:

This bus stop has many buses.  Buses here will take you to the lake and  other places.  Any 900 bus (970, 952 e.t.c) will take you to Cheongpung Lake (청풍호수), the beautiful Jeongbangsa temple (정방사) and other areas.

Directly opposite there is another bus stop.  The number 31 bus will take you to the famous

Uirmiji Reservoir.  (Details of  many of the sightseeing areas are on the

Jecheon Blog with links from this page on the right).

If you are going to the festival area it is about 25/30 minutes away and in a straight line.

At the main road (with the bus stop on your left) walk straight.   At the 4th intersection turn left.  In this photo you can see the TTC Film Theatre from the intersection in the distance.

It is the yellow building.
